The Play Exchange
The Prescription To Get Active program has been named as one of six finalists in The Play Exchange by a panel of expert judges. The Play Exchange is a national, online challenge that was launched in February 2014 by Minister of Health, Rona Ambrose, as a way to find creative ideas to get Canadians living healthier, more active lives. More than 420 entries were received by The Play Exchange and the finalists were announced September 22, 2014. The contest was open to all Canadians, including not-for-profit organizations, businesses, schools and families.

Each year, the Health Care Public Relations Association (HCPRA) of Canada recognizes outstanding communications pieces and accomplishments from across the country by awarding the Hygeia Awards in nine categories. This year, HCPRA awarded the Prescription To Get Active Marketing and Communications Committee awards in the following categories:
Strategic Communications - 3rd place
Website - 3rd place
The awards were officially recognized and handed out at the HCPRA annual national conference in Ottawa on May 1, 2014.
On May 29, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Capital Awards were awarded during the annual gala in Edmonton. These awards recognize excellence in communications throughout the region.
